Mites (offerings) are collected in mite boxes and gathered to support the mission projects approved by the LWML membership in convention every two years. Read the example of the widow's mite in Luke 21:1-4.
   

Thank you to the Nebraska District North LWML for your generous grant to LHF for the printing of catechisms for Sudan. Your gift will be put to good use!

The Lutheran Heritage Foundation's (LHF) executive director, Rev. James Fandrey, is standing before a map of Sudan. He’s holding the mites check, along with a copy of the Nuer Small Catechism.

LHF currently has several Sudanese translation projects in process, including the reprinting of the Zande and Nuer catechisms, and the first printing of the Dinka language catechism.
